Normandie:
There would be many things to enumerate apart from its splendid fine sand beaches of which the most famous is Deauville, but Normandy will always remain for all synonym of the allied landing and freedom. One town particularly, Sainte Mère l'Eglise (June 6, 1944), ground zero of the drive which was to lead the allies to Bastogne. While we see the Memorial of Caen and Bayeux and its museum memorial of the battle of Normandy, let us not forget that Normandy it is also the gastronomy (its butter, its cream, its cheeses, its cidre… and its cows!).
