L'île de la cité

It is, within this historical décor and atmosphere that, at nightfall, classical music lovers converge to the Opera House, others to L'Ile de la Cite, known as Paris cradle when it was called Lutece, and others stay around The Bastille Plaza to enjoy a more popular feel of Parisian's life. If you like strong emotions and if you feel to experience an ancestral ambience, this visit will provide all the necessary ingredients to do so.
Start your day by going directly to pay a visit to Nôtre-Dame Cathedral, whose legend has been depicted in books, movies, plays, etc. Going across the Seine river, sit on one of the benches, close your eyes and smell all the fragrances coming from the flower market. While doing so, enjoy the flowing noises coming from the Seine which will take you back to a distant past. To get back slowly to reality, stop over on the Pont Neuf and watch life's animation burst around you. For peace and quiet, and to feel some kind of calmness and serenity, enter the Sainte Chapel, coming out you will feel rejuvenated, and ready to continue your visit.

Before doing so, stop at the famous Toupary restaurant, located a top the Samaritaine shop. While sipping a cup of freshly brewed tea, and indulging in some of the delicious pastries, admire the splendid view of L'Ile de la Cite underneath you and right across the Seine River.
